Welcome to “Everything NESmaker” – a weblog about the ins and outs of NES development in general, and NESmaker in particular. You may consider this my personal diary, where I’m trying to make sense of the NES, its hardware, how NESmaker implements things and tips and tricks to get the most from the software. I’ll be adding code snippets, UI explanations and other interesting NESmaker content. There’s a lot of information about NESmaker publicly available, although it might be a bit scattered around the internet. This site is aiming to add structure to everything NESmaker and its community has to offer. Please hang around or come back soon, I’ll try to update as much as possible, creating some sort of guide in the process.
Getting started
First timers should read the Getting started page, which explains how to buy, download, install and use NESmaker.

About me
My name is kevin81. Most people in the NESmaker community probably know me best for my sound contributions to various NESmaker projects. Besides making music, I’m also developing NESmaker games, like Mooooo!, Festino’s Dino Dash and Humbled. I’m absolutely no authority when it comes to NES development or NESmaker though; in fact, I feel like I’ve just started and still trying to make sense of it all. There’s a lot to take in, there are loads of content about NESmaker and NES development and I have just touched upon the tip of the iceberg. These posts are more or less my interpretation of information publicly available, which means I might totally be misinterpreting or not quite fully understand some of these topics. Did you find anything to be wrong or incomplete? Or would you like me to write up on something specific? Please feel free to let me know! Like you probably, I’m here to learn. You can contact me through email, Bluesky or the forum.
